The Kinnell-Kresge Block on North Street in Pittsfield, shown above in the 1970s, was built in 1918 in a Queen Anne Victorian-style by Dr. George K. Kinnell and the Kresge Syndicate for an S.S. Kresge 5-10 cent store. The architect was Joseph McArthur Vance, who also designed the Berkshire County Savings Bank, Colonial Theatre, Masonic Temple and First Baptist Church downtown.
